These terms cover the Hello Board Games Telegram bot (@hello_board_games_bot)
and its Mini App at https://hello-board-games-tg.gpm.name. Using either means accepting them.
What Hello Board Games is
A bot that keeps the score of a board game: balances, payments, requests, a record of every movement and a clock. It is a record of what the players tell it. The units in a game are worth nothing. They cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for anything, inside the bot or outside it, and nothing leaves a game. The bot does not know the rules of any game and does not check them: the table decides, and the bot writes it down. It is not made by, or connected to, the publisher of any game.
What it costs
The bot is free to use within the limits listed on the home page. Pro removes those limits and is paid in Telegram Stars, either 150 Stars every 30 days or 1500 Stars for a year.
The monthly plan lasts 30 days and is a real subscription: it renews itself until you cancel it, and cancelling is done in Telegram’s settings rather than here. The yearly plan is not a subscription and does not renew: it is one payment for a year, after which the account goes back to the free plan on its own. Buying a year while a month is still running adds the year on top of what is left rather than replacing it.
Stars are Telegram’s, not mine: they are bought from Telegram and the charge is Telegram’s. Pro purchases are recorded in apps-management under the Telegram payment identifier. Refunds are possible while Telegram allows them for a given payment; ask at apps@gpm.name.
Cancelling stops the renewal. Pro runs until the date it was paid up to.
No warranty
The bot is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It is run on one server by one person; it can be down, and a message can be lost.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. A game is deleted on a schedule (see the privacy policy), and Pro includes the CSV of a game’s moves.
Your data is yours
Whatever you write down stays yours. It is not sold, not shared and not used to train anything. What is stored and what is not is in the privacy policy.
Games with other people
The admin of a game decides who is in it, and can remove players and delete the game for everybody. Everybody in a game sees its balances and moves. Do not put anybody in a seat who has not agreed to it, and remember that a seat that is only a name is played by the admin.
Acceptable use
Do not use the bot to break the law, and do not try to reach data that is not yours or to knock the service over. Automated use that degrades it for other people is not allowed.
Access can be withdrawn where one of those happens. Where that leaves a paid subscription unused, the unused part is refunded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for a decision taken on the basis of what the bot showed you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and the rights you have as a consumer.
Availability and changes
Features can change and the service can be discontinued. If it is discontinued, notice will be given in the bot and on this site with enough time to export your data, and any subscription running at that point is refunded for its unused part.
Governing law
Italian law, and the courts of Rome, Italy. If you are a consumer this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
